And while we’re doing all of that planning now, your newborn session is already organised before you bring your baby home.
I attended with my newborn & my 2 energetic little girls. I honestly wasn’t going to get photos this time around as it being my 3rd baby I definitely was not wanting to jump in front of the camera days after a c section. From the moment I stepped foot in Laura’s studio i felt so comfortable. She goes above & beyond so all smiles were genuine. She has also made quite the impression on my 2 daughters (6&10) as they always ask “when can we go back to that nice lady’s house with the white room” and honestly I can’t wait to get back in! She is amazzzing with kids!

Your maternity session can be photographed in my Dudley Park studio or outdoors around Mandurah.
Partners and children are welcome, and I’ll help with clothing and direction throughout.
We photograph the pregnancy, but we also photograph the family as it exists before baby joins it.
THEN, NEWBORN
This time, with them in your arms.
Once baby arrives, we lock in your newborn session at my Dudley Park studio.
I allow up to three hours, so feeds, changes, cuddles and a baby who has completely different plans for the morning are all accounted for.
Your baby, parents and siblings are included.
You arrive with the baby. I’ve got the rest covered.

The connection should be obvious when you put them side by side.
That doesn’t mean wearing exactly the same thing twice or recreating every maternity photograph with a baby added.
It means thinking ahead.
Similar tones. Clothing that works together. The same restraint in styling. Enough consistency that when you print the photographs or put both sessions into an album, they sit naturally beside each other.
Your baby changes everything between those two sessions.
The photographs don’t need to compete with that.

PRINTING THE STORY
If you’d like your maternity and newborn photographs printed together, your album can be designed to move naturally from pregnancy into those first weeks with baby.
You’ll see the people waiting for them, turn the page, and there they are.
Albums and wall art are optional and can be chosen after you’ve seen your photographs. I’ll help with the layout and image choices so you’re not trying to design it yourself from a folder of files.
One album can hold both sides of it.
Frequently asked questions
When should I book?
During pregnancy is best.
That gives us time to secure your maternity session and keep space around your due date for newborn photographs.
When will the newborn session be?
We don’t need to know the exact date before baby arrives. Once they’re here, we’ll organise the session date around you and your baby.
What if my baby arrives earlier or later than expected?
That’s exactly why the newborn date remains flexible.
Do both sessions have to be in the studio?
No. Your maternity session can be photographed in studio or outdoors. Newborn sessions are photographed in my Dudley Park studio.
Do I get wardrobe help for both?
Yes. We can plan clothing across both sessions together so the finished galleries connect naturally.
Can my partner and children be in both sessions?
Absolutely. In fact, having them in both is part of what makes the two galleries work so beautifully together.
